The Dead Men Stood Together Longlisted for the UKLA Children’s Book Award

Chris Priestley’s novel, The Dead Men Stood Together, which was inspired by ‘The Rime of the Ancient Mariner’, has been long-listed for the UKLA Children’s Book award 2015.   1. Interested to hear about this. YA fiction is the new target in some curriculum discussions but some of us are embracing the Albatross and bringing it alive into the academy!!

  2. Sounds a fascinating novel. I do think YA fiction can be more adventurous than mainstream novels lately
